Hughes Net promised us excellant service, but we had nothing but trouble with our internet service. They even told us that our problems were caused because our hard drive was crashing. This was not true. We bought a new computer and had the same troubles. After call My Tech Help they explained that our service was just too slow. With Hughes Net we were getting1.0 Mbps for $39.99 and could buy 2.00 MBbps for $109.99. We later called Dish Network and found out that we could get 12 Mbps for $49.99. I wrote Hughes Net and told that that we had no choice but to cancel our contract with them because of their poor service. They have been calling us and threatening to charge us $400 and if not paid would put it on our Credit Report. We returned all the equipment they gave us and told them we would pay nothing because it was their bad service. They are still threatening us and just hung up on my husband a few minutes ago. What can we do?
