I was notified that I owed ACS Inc., a payday loan company $945.67 and that I was going to be arrested unless I paid. I never even heard of ACS Inc., I have only done business with 3 payday loan companies and everything has been through automatic deposit. I have records showing what companies I've dealt with, the amounts, etc., as well as bank records and I can prove that I have never borrowed any more than $350 from any payday loan company. I have notified FTC, Social Security and the credit bureaus that my social security number has been compromised and that I am being extorted in the amount of $945.67 for a loan I never took out. I am not paying them a dime. I was also advised that the FBI would be notified as would my employer. Had someone done their homework, they would know that I am a retired FBI employee.....I sent the email they sent me directly to the FBI. I keep getting phone calls from these people. I have had an attorney look at the email and he even tried to call the number listed on the email and the person who answered the phone could barely speak English. I am also looking into cross suing in the amount of $25,000 because they are using my social security number to try to get money from me that they are not entitled to. As far as I'm concerned, these people are committing identity theft, extortion, and harrassment.
