A rep from value-pass called me with a trial offer. The rep stated I would receive a $100 gift card from Walmart and that I only had to pay $4.95 for shipping fee. He informed me that I would receive a user Id and password in the mail in a few days to access website and get discounts and savings from various merchants. He gave me a confirmation number, a call back number, and a specific cancel date. I set a reminder in my phone for the cancel date.
As the cancel date arrives I get a reminder as scheduled, I then realized I never even received anything in the mail as I was told. I immediately call the number given and they inform me that they've charged a $99 membership and that my cancel date was the day before the date they given. When I complained on how that was a gimmick they stated there was nothing that could be done. Basically they mislead u into a membership and once charged no reversals that's why I was told to call in a day after mbership was activated. Also no higher authority to talk to. Rep stated someone could call me back in 48 hours. Email is [email protected] seems very fishy.
