A very pregnant woman came up to my door and said she was trying to win a vacation and she had to get so many signatures on a paper to qualify. She said she just had to vacuum any area in my home for the signature. I told her I had already cleaned and didn't need her to and that I would just sign her paper so she could go on. She said she couldn't do that and that it would just take a minute. I finally said ok. She handed me a can of air freshener and said she had to go get the vacuum out of the van. Then shows up to my door with the kirby vacuum is another woman. I then realized that I was tricked into watching a demonstration of the Kirby by a very pregnant woman that I felt sorry for. Before I knew it I had this other woman demonstrating how much better the Kirby was than my Dyson vacuum. Then comes in my home another person (a man this time in a suit) who offers me my Dyson as a trade in on this Kirby Sentria and sells it to me for $1940 at 25.69% interest which totals at $2,963.26 at the end of 36 months. After having this very pregnant woman wanting to win a vacation and then another homely looking woman needing to make a sale that took her time showing me everything this vacuum did I felt that I couldn't just not purchase it. I'm very soft hearted and want to help anyone out that I can. So I was taken and signed the contract. Out they left with my Dyson that I loved and left me with this heavy Kirby with all these separate attachments :(. My contract said that I had until midnight of 10/15/09 to cancel. Well, when I tried to cancel on 10/14/09 I was told that my cancellation time had expired. The fine print said that I had to cancel within three business days of the contract date. I can tell the difference between a 3 and a 5 and it definitely has 10/15 and not 10/13 on my contract written by the man by the last name of Harris who made the final deal with me. So I was stuck having to pay for this Kirby to keep my credit in good status. I make my final payment this month on a vacuum I no longer have and never used. I traded it in on another vacuum after it set in my hall closet for awhile. Only got $400 for it. I think I learned a valuable lesson.
I think it's pretty sorry how they scammed me with a pregnant woman and worked their way into my home by making it sound like it was only about trying to win a vacation for themselves.
