We received a letter in the mail about mortgage modification from forest law group when we contacted them they told us they can do our loan modification but it will cost $3995 and we can get a 3% rate.They told us to pay $916 every month for 6 months while the paper work in process which we did, the other day we received a letter from our mortgage company that our home is up for foreclosure because we were on a forbearance plan and we did not make 3 months payment and we owe them $5600. Forest law group did not tell us about this forbearance plan, we knew nothing about it until we call our mortgage company they told us. Now i have been trying to get in touch with Richard berg from forest law group and no response.I called every day and send emails and he never returned my calls or emails. So we were scammed of $3995.
