It is a snail mail version of the Nigerian scam. You receive a letter and a check for $3,000 - and told you won a $70,000 prize. You are supposed to call either Thierry Gilbert or Mary Thomas at 347-557-8011 to work out the details. Basically they then ask you to send them a check - and if you do, then they disappear. the check they have sent you likely bounces. There is no free lunch in this world. Be skeptical.

- This is a scam. They are not going to "resolve" it. These folks are criminals. I just wanted to get their names out there so they turn up in a search, and other people don't fall for this. I didn't send them money; I found their name here and it confirmed that this was a scam.
