  • I have recently set up a website for the real Glasgow Telecom Ltd and was searching how their website ranked on google, and it has really angered me that these fraudsters are using the name on my client, and bringing the name of Glasgow Telecom into disrepute.
Glasgow Telecom Ltd are an independently owned business who work as a franchise of British Telecom, and trade under the name BT Local Business Glasgow (their official website is http://www.btlbglasgow.co.uk), they particularly sell business telecom solutions to the SME market and mainly supply businesses in their local surrounding areas with telephone systems, cheaper call tariffs ... to my knowledge have never shipped iphones or ipads abroad, they certainly don't sell play stations and all the other game stations showing on webnode link (http://glasgow-telecom.webnode.com/). Finally, I would like to mention, because Glasgow Telecom Ltd are a franchise of BT, all customer contracts are direct with BT, with products and solutions endorsed by BT. Check out Glasgow Telecoms new web page - http://www.btlbglasgow.co.uk or other official BT Links for finding nearest BT Local Business, and you will find that Glasgow Telecom is a reputable dealer connected with British Telecom.

    Dear Sirs

    Your action is much appreciated.

I am unsure who you mean by contact, as I was under belief that webnode is your domain.

Obviously requesting the scammers themselves to remove it, or use the email address they have provided on the website is not going to get us very far.

We just need to know who legally accountable, or we will ask google and other search engines to remove webnode websites from their searches

    Thank you.

    Regards Chris

    Dear Sirs

Thank you for your prompt action in taking this website down.

Its unfortunate you are not allowed to provide information on the entities that operate their websites at your facilities. There are at least two complaints about this website on scambook that has cost people hundreds of dollars each, and the very damaging online search implications to real businesses such as my client that have suffered identity fraud.

As first point of call people will consider webnode directly liable for the damages, although you got a duty of data protection of clients who use your facilities, it is quite likely that people who have suffered financial loss will need you to disclose the identity of the entities that operate their facilities at your services.

Do you have details available for the entity that set this account up that can be disclosed to law enforment agencies?

You have a duty of care to webnode users that the entities who use your facilities can be verified, most reputable companies do this through phone, text or credit card verification as email is unsecure.

Where do we go from here?

    Regards

    Chris
