These companies are an organized time share sales scam focused on the Vida Resort Properties in Mexico. All 3 of these companies have working web sites. I did research with BBB's and nothing came up. I obviously did not do enough.
I was cold call contacted by Venture Equity Services, 14241 Dallas Parkway, Dallas TX,25254, (214) 810-7598, with an offer to sell my timeshare at the Grand Mayan, Red week, purchased in 2007 for $40,000. They had a buyer in place offering $67,800. After contracts were signed, I was referred to Newport Trust Group, 600 17th street, South Denver, CO, 80202, (303) 954-4941 to be the closing agent, which became Riverside Closing Trust, 500 No. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL. 60611, (312) 428-4364. I was initially told that all I was required to do was send the current assignment fees (reimbursable by new owner)for the resort to transfer ownership and pay 8% commission upon the receipt of my funds. Over a 7 week period these reimbursable fees compounded to $185,000 by a continued request for more funds in incremental amounts to be sent to bank accounts held “in Trust” in Mexico: 16% taxes, rate of exchange, bank surcharges, and restitution to me for failure to disclose and admitted errors in their calculations. I received numerous emails and phone calls, international wire transfer directions and government tax documents. Had I noticed that there were no suite numbers, as I discovered when I had someone in Chicago go to the address and check, I could have saved myself a lot of money and self recrimination. My trust in others coupled with my current financial challenges blinded my sense of judgement as I continued to be lied to by a sophisticated network of thieves working in concert together.
