Ordered a set of genie bras for 59.99 plus ship. Got another set free. Both came in same package but was charged another 12.99 totalling my order to 85.97. Do not recall being told this.

  • I saw the ad for Genie Bras on a recorded show. I replayed it twice. They very specifically say that you'll be charged postage on EACH--with no mention that the bras will all arrive together. It isn't entirely "false advertising," but it is an intentional way to collect more money for a package that weighs very little. Watch the ad again. You'll see. On a related post this morning, someone mentioned that when she received the bras she noted that they were NOT padded. Nowhere in the info-mercial does it ever say that they are padded. Not false advertising. Others have mentioned an inability to contact representatives at Genie Bra... That's truly annoying and is rather "suspect." I was tempted to place an order and therefore I thank everyone who posted on this site. You've prevented me from making a mistake on a product that looked comfortable and worthwhile--but, I won't buy from a company who uses trickery in their language to make a sale.

  • I ordered on line. It is very clear that you will be charged 12.99 for the second set of bras. Also, I don't recall on the infomercial or the online advertising that the bra is padded. What really bothered me is there was no way to decline the "3 free" bras. However, we shall see when they arrive if they are worth it. If I bought 6 of my usual bras, it would cost me nearly $150, so if these work, they will be worth it and should last a long time.

  • I've read just a couple of complaints about the Genie Bra so far, about the misleading advertising, one woman hasn't even gotten her bras yet (grrr!), the bad customer service, etc. Though I really appreciate having been warned about what to expect, I don't know yet if the darned things are as great as they seem to be. I am so tempted to just grin and "bare" it for the sake of slipping into a modern, decent bra for a change. Doesn't anyone like them?

  • When you order the bras, it does say allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. However, unless I missed it, you don't see that until you submit the order.

  • Yes, I was wondering the same thing--HOW do they feel? And does one get the support one needs? (coverage, too--if you know what I mean--when it's "cold" out...) Even with the postage and the wait, they are still considerably less expensive than most bras on the market. I'd like to know if they are WORTH the wait, how well do they come out of the wash, and any other comments from those who have actually worn them.

  • Just received my Genie Bras. I ordered the size they recommended and they are a bit too small. They are extremely comfortable and pretty well made. They don't make you look like the models on TV !!!!! I am large busted and they are not flattering. Mine came with the padding inside even though I didn't order them that way. It's not a big deal, I just took the padding out. They are comfortable and pretty well made. If it weren't such a hassle, I would return them. I'll just wear them for sleep bras.

  • Do not buy the genie bras if you truly are 1X or bigger. They are so tight they will hardly go on (and I am not 1X; I am XL) The cups give me the classic ugly ugly ugly Uniboob, and I'm getting my money back!

    If I want that look, I'll buy cheap excercise bras.

  • Thank you, Ladies. That's exactly what I needed to hear (see) and you've prevented me from making a purchase I cannot afford. I'm mostly "housebound" due to a disability and don't go out often--and I've grown rather accustomed to being indoors and "free" and "bra-less." I'm not really busty--I'm wide in the back--like a linebacker. And squishing what I do have, and with a tight and uncomfortable "device" doesn't sound all that appealing to me. I don't know if either of you have the store AVENUE near you--but occasionally they'll have these fabulous sales--and some of their bras are so comfortable you barely know that you're wearing one and they are still pretty--and they're well-made, too. Worth spending the extra money for comfort, I say. Thanks again. I appreciate the input/comments. Have a safe/enjoyable holiday weekend! :)

  • I ordered the bras, they sent an email saying they were shipped. Twenty-two days later, I have still NOT received them!!! I called customer service and they were not at all helpful!! Their tracking system is nonsense. Someone was supposed to call me, but no one did. I'm glad I didn't fall for all the extras they tried to sell me, but I wish I'd read this blog before I ordered.
