I saw the advertisement online for a 'free' trial of Essence of Argan and duly paid £5.99 for postage and packing. It arrived after a few days and I wasn't particularly impressed with the product as it seemed very oily and made my hair oily too after I applied it to my face. After 2 weeks I noticed that our account had been debited by the company for £83.80. My husband and I couldn't believe it but when we checked out the terms and conditions it turned out that we had agreed to this price (unless we cancelled within 14 days)and to further monthly deliveries of the product - each one costing £83.80! On the advice of our bank and its Fraud department we immediately cancelled the card that we had use to make the purchase but they could not guarantee that further deductions from our account would not be made. However, they promised to refund any further charges that got through. Finally, my husband, after many failed attempts to contact Lifestyle on various phone numbers that the company supplies, did manage to get through and not only managed to cancel the contract but get a partial refund of £40.00; with confirming emails. The number he rang is 0871 284 6563. Give it a try, but be diplomatic and just tell them that you were dissatisfied with the product and would like to cancel. Good luck!
