Just read a prior complaint about this company. I was the idiot that fell for their line of BS. Told me exactly the same thing. So they must be trained to do this. Tried to cancel the agreement the following morning and they said they would cancel right away but unfortunately said it could take anywhere from 1 to 30 days for the change to take affect. Isn't that funny considering it only took them 8 hours to make the change in the first place. At this point it hasn't cost me anything but I'm sure by the time the change takes affect it will have. Don't agree to anything if Entrust energy comes to the door. They may actually be offering a better rate but do your homework before you make a decision or you'll end up like me. They said I would be paying 7.4 cents for energy. I was paying 9.1 cents. So thought wow a better deal. Realized after the fact that the actual rate is 11.5 cents. Caught me making Thanksgiving dinner and a bunch of kids running around with a down internet so I could'nt check on anything like I wanted to now the holidays are the excuse for why it will take so long to change back. Dealing with customer service just as bad. You may get a lot of customers by lying but you won't keep them that way and told me I had been paying too much for energy and they were offering this great program that would save me money and the phone call was just to see if I qualified for the program. Then when he left he handed me a welcome card with a confirmation number.
