I'd like to offer verifiable information regarding this company.

The company called JDI Dating Limited operates a number of online dating sites. The introductory pages look very professional and promising in what they offer. That's where it ends!!

Like most people I didn't read their "Terms & Conditions" BUT even if I had done so there wasn't anything obvious that seemed out of the norm. It all starts to make sense AFTER you have found out the hard way.

JDI Dating operate the following web based dating sites and I'm sure there will be others I have not listed. Letsflirt[dot]com, Flirtcrowd[dot]com, Findmelove[dot]com, Dateagency[dot]com, Datefirst[dot]com, Cupidswand[dot]com, Hookup[dot]info, Getflirting[dot]com, Naughtyover40[dot]com, Justdateguys[dot]com, Loadedguys[dot]com, justhookup[dot]com, Setforsex[dot]com, Rudefinder[dot]com, Gohookup[dot]com, Hookupclub[dot]com, hookup[dot]info, letsflirt[dot]com, getflirting[dot]com & loadedguys[dot]com.
http://www.jdidating.com <--- their main dating site portal

I joined FindMeLove[dot]com. The site allows free sign up offering limited features. It allows receipt of personal messages but does not allow you to send messages out. I later realised you can't actually read the text (it's blurred) if a real person messages you if you are not a subscribed (paid) member.

They operate BOTS they call Virtual Cupids (referred to as VC). A non subscribed member can read the message sent by BOTS but can't send a reply. They mention the use of VC's in their T&C and state, " The VC services may include the posting of information, pictures and communication to the user, Member and/or Subscriber's profile. The deployment of our VC services is to facilitate Account development, increase the user, Member and/or Subscribers experience" Personal messages from VS's are able to be read. Nothing in the message suggests the message was from a BOT. The only indication the message is automated is by viewing the peofile of the sender, a grey symbol "a C with a V inside" where that symbol is dislayed. The symbol is among other coloured symbols that display a mouse over message when you pass the cursor over them. The VC symbol does not display a mouse over message and for all intents looks like a greyed out (dormant) link. I clicked it accidentally and it pops up a page of the T&C. The VC symbol is deceptive in that it looks like an inactive link where in fact it is an active link. It's been designed to minimise the chance someone will click on it.

They use a steady flow of automated messages from BOTS to give the impression there are sufficient numbers of women actively seeking men on the site to encourage free members to pay the fee to subscribe so they are able to send messages back. when you respond to BOT you usually get no reply or if you do, it's totally off the subject.

I was suspicious that things were not adding up so I performed a couple of other checks.

I tried to sign up again but this time as a "woman seeking a man" and no matter how many attempts I made, each time it failed telling me "I have to use a valid email address". I was using valid email addresses and when I tried again but this time chose "man seeking a woman" it accepted the same email address that had previously been rejected. I can only conclude that the service is not allowing "women seeking men" to register so it seems difficult to understand how their web page claim "Let FIND ME LOVE match you to your perfect partner" when all the partners seem to be BOTS. Again on that same page the form is headed "Find Your Match for FREE". Not bad when you can see and read BOTS as an unpaid member but if a real person messages it is unreadable. So in short, it isn't possible to meet, communicate or match up with someone who doesn't exist or who you can't interact with without paying.

I confronted the site management with what I had found pointing out the way it was impossible to sign up as a "woman seeking a man" and the fact the site was populated with 80+ % bots and 80% of the rest seemed to be spammers attemting to lure people to other sites where they try to entice you to use a credit card to prove age on web cam sites etc. Now I'm not saying this is fact and ONLY because I have not reserached further to prove it, but it wouldn't surprise me if the spammers are also part of the main site, just another tool to take our money. In the space of 24 hours while searching the site, I reported over 80 female members who's intent was to lure you to a facebook, yahoo, skype or email account.

My subscription fees have been refunded in full.

I encourage anyone who has paid a subscrion and is not satisfied to demand a FULL refund on the grounds the service is not what it is advertised as. Try starting a new account on the site you join, see if you can sign up as a woman seeking a man. You'll probably need to delete all cookies for that web site. If it won't allow email because of email addresses, then you have good enough grounds to demand a refund. Do a search, count the number of results and check each ones profile for that VC logo. Calculate the percentage of VC vs real members in your search results.

Feel free to message me if you'd like more info or help recovering subscription fees.
