I received a text message to my phone on Thanksgiving, saying that I had won a 1,000.00 gift card from TargetContest.com. It indicated that I had won this because of a contest that I had entered the previous month. My first thought was that I don't remember entering any contests with Target or anywhere for that matter. As a rule, I don't give out my email, phone #, or any other personal information for any kind of promotions, anywhere. And I don't have a Target credit card either, so I know they don't have my personal information. I then googled the address they text me about and voila! Several scam alert links immediately pop up concerning this same text.
