Steven Burns, SFC (U.S.Forces Afghanistan) advertised his 2004 Toyota Prius (hybrid) thru Craigslist. I became interested with the car which is well maintained and it was intended for my son's use. He told me that he only accept Amazon Payments because he had used it and everything went smoothly (he said). I registered with them and Amazon Payments sent me the transaction details and the invoice online. On the Amazon Payments e-mail there's an instruction how to send the money. It was thru Western Union and the agent in charge of the transaction is James Nelson from 914 Main St., Houston, TX 77002 (who AP said is one of their Regional Managers. I sent the money ($2200.00) to James Nelson on November 1, 2012 and Western Union sent me text the next day that Mr. James Nelson pick-up the money. I informed the seller and Amazon Payments about it, so the seller started the shipping process. Then, a couple of days after that, Amazon Payments sent me an e-mail that there's another issue with regards to the shipping insurance because they said under the electoral law on National Transport which started September 1, 2012, the full amount should be covered equally between the seller and buyer. I was hesitant at first to send the money, so it took me around 3 days to decide to send the money. This time to John Walker from 5718 Kiam St., Houston, TX 77007. Mr. Walker is in-charge for the Insurance, Amazon Payments said. So, when I sent my part, both the seller and Amazon Payments said that shipping will resume as I will receive the vehicle supposedly after 5PM yesterday (November 7, 2012). But until now, no car. I called Amazon and they said that they are not that Amazon Payments whom the 3 used for their transaction which meant that I was a victim of scam. I hope these things would stop and authorities should go after these people who just victimize innocent and hard working people just like me. I hope you could help me with this as my son needs a ride for school (college). Thank you very much.
