Yeah, this young man conviced me to write a check for $42 AND he took my husband's cherished Mont Blanc pen (valued at over $450). He was so nice, but like my husband said, 'all con men are nice, that's why they snooker you in'.
It was the usual theme, "I'm tryng to raise $'s to go to Rome this summer to take a cooking class". "I live just a few blocks away, yada, yada, yada" Well, I'd like nothing more that to cook his goose. What a jerk. (and do I feel stupid!)
