I had a problem with my AOL email and contacted the number for techneical support who I thought and was told that they were doing the support on behalf of AOL.
they informed me my computer was at great risk and I foolsishly agreed to pay to have cleaned and protected . When they rang to ask me to contact AOL to increase bandwidth and gave me an out of date number I became suspiocious when I eventually spoke to someone at AOl I realsed I had been scamed and felt violated . I have subsequently tried to ring and email tech support to cancel the agreement and stop payment . But no response . So I feel I have no option but to report them and alert people . I note now they have scammed others but they got me at a vulnerable state and when I was very upset as felt my computer was a hih risk of crashing .
