I opened an account in Germany earlier this year, and only noticed recently that a company called Vendo Support was taking amounts of 39.95 Euros and .95 euro cents from my account every month. Looks like they got in as soon as I opened the account. I have no idea who they are and how they managed to get my bank details. The only solution for me so far is to alert my bank. For some reason, which is beyond me, the bank can't just stop the Direct Debit. What they have done is to keep paying the money to Vendo and retract it, put it back in my account and hope that Vendo will realise that they will not get money from my account.
They have given me back the last 2 months money because I reported it within 8 weeks, but anything before that is gone. Gone are the days when robbers wore masks and had guns to steal your money. They do right under the noses of the banks and get away with it.
