My wife ordered these creams through an internet ad and there was no mention on the payment page of any further payments. They have taken two lots of money from her a/c, totalling $200( £120 )- $99 for each miniscule pot of cream, which in reality is probably "snake oil"
The bank isn't interested and keep talking as though this is a legitimate company instead of a bunch of low-life criminals. We have e-mailed our cancellation request and sent a cancellation letter to the Florida address. We expect that they will ignore these, but feel that we have done our best to follow the law ( joke ) and we don't expect a refund and are closing the bank account before the next anticipated payment request in 30 days time. I hope everyone realises that this is going to keep happening every 30 days if you don't get a successful cancellation.

  • Just a follow up on this. The post office tried to deliver a parcel yesterday while we were out and left a card saying that there was a parcel for my wife to collect, with a customs charge of £20.32 (about $32) to pay. This is obviously some unwanted creams and we will not be collecting them.

  • Final follow-up. I was so (Inappropriate Content Removed) off about this that I looked for various ways to get back at these people, including e-mailing the chamber of commerce in the town where the creams were produced and also the FBI computer fraud section.
What actually worked for us though, was when I e-mailed the Utah Consumer Protection Division ( the creams appeared to have been produced in Utah ) I filled in a complaint form and scanned it back to them. It took a few weeks, but eventually, after several contacts from one of their investigators, we received a cheque from the company for the entire amount, including the initial postage charges. The only downside to that was that our bank ( Barclays ) charged us 10% of the value of the cheque, to process it because it was a US cheque in dollars. ( The company did offer to credit our bank account, but we had closed the original account because of them and no way were we giving them any more bank details )
So, a reasonably happy ending to this. I just can't understand how they can continue to trade when everyone knows that it's a rip-off.
