My name is Bonnie Wallace, member #57186707. I received an advertsing about joining The Cooking Club of America. I sent in my money for the first year, and after that decided that it was not for me.
I thought the free samples that they sent for us to test were very cheap, and the magazine was not what I thought as well.
I did not pay for any more of the membership, and I thought that would stop all corresondence with the company. WRONG!!!!
I still received books that I didn't want but paid for. I thought that maybe after the first couple they would stop. WRONG AGAIN!!!
I called a number that I thought was for this company, spoke with a Josh or Jason, (can't remember the name) and told him that I didn't want any more books, gave him my account number and asked to please stop sending them and was assured that I would not receive any more books.
Well, guess what?? I had received 4 more books, and when I didn't pay for them right away I started receiving letters from a collection agancy. I paid for two of them and actually received 3 more books after that, and again receiving past due notices.
I feel I do not owe for these books and am not going to pay for them. You can keep sending letters from a collection agency, I am contacting the Better Business Bureau.
