DSN was a TV retail jewelry store. They were on line on DISH channel 221(Midwest)They were on TV approx 10 years or so. I would say that for at least 7 or 8 years they appeared to be reputable.
Then suddenly last year in May of 2011-I believe May 10, 2011 I ordered a 14k yellow gold ring set with a Paraiba Tourmaline stone-oval-approx .50 tcw, It did look kind of small but appeared (on tv) to look like the gold setting was a decent weight and nicely set.At that time gold was going up SO fast-I quickly decided to cancel the order. I called them back within 10 minutes and cancelled
the whole order.
I was surprise how cooperative they were. It probably was not the first person that had
cancelled something.
Little did I know that their definition of "Quality" had deterioted that fast and that
badly.We moved the end of June 2011 and I forgot all about the ring to be honest until August (about the 25th or 26th?)at our new residence when a post office employee aproached me and asked me my name etc. I said yes,yes. He asked me if I would sign for the package, I asked him who it was from, he told me I was surprised how quickly they
had shipped a ring I had ordered only a week or so before that Another mistake. I have never received
the credit for the returned 14k yellow gold ring with paraiba tourmaline stone in it. So I was thinking that they sure were in a hurry to deliver my recent order. I opened the package and there was the order from May. I was SO surprised to see it, I had actualy forgotten all about it.I immediatly returned it the next day and i have the USPS form for returning it. I asked them (I called them as soon as I found out what it was)when I called them I asked them where my ring that I had ordered about 10 days or so before that,they at first acted (like always per the previous year or so)like they didn't know. I had ordered a beautiful white gold(may have been SS)but I am pretty sure it just happened to be white gold in this case and it has a totally beautiful large
pink tourmaline stone set in the ring. That was $399.00(I think) I have it written down. They kept telling me, its in the mail etc and I WAS NOT that worried right away as they had always been VERY VERY slow to ship things ouot like two months was pretty fast for them. It had to be sized if I remember but that only takes about two extra days.
I have NEVER received it, in Oct 2011 I ordered two diamonds approx .20 to.25 ctw each. I have never received those either. I need to go through my orders again and make sure there is nothing else I HAD never received. To the best of my memory and notes that I have and more I have to find. They owe me a minumum of $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 dollars. They will not get on the phones.
I have left three messages via phone there but have never received a call back. I have sent several e-mail messages to them beggin them to call me,let me know what is going on, try to work it out.
asked them if they were going out of business, they adamently would say "NO" but it has now been
about a year so I really do not believe they are going back on tv. At that time, they said they were selling stuff via the internet and that their customer service office was open every day from noon PCT until ?6 or 7 pm in the evening.
I do not know what is going on but i need the money, we have had a VERY poor year literally and in other ways, we lost two family members, my husband had no work from Oct 2011 until June 12, 2012. I live on SSD and so previously my money had pretty much been my money, suddenly after my husband got laid off, for a period of time with no unemployment. I had to pay rent, electricity, gas and all that other good stuff.I guess what I REALLY am trying to find out since I cannot get an answer from anyone there is,
are they still in business? Can I get(ONLY IF I CANNOT GET CASH)other quality jewelry? in exchange so to speak. I am sure you must have had other complaints. In fact(they appear to hire a lot of younger kids-?college age maybe)they are the ones who have to answer the phones and put up with the clients. Of course the mgt doesn't do that. There is a guy there named Art something or other. He appears to be the "Big shot" or thinks he is.I think he ownes it.
What can I do, I am in Wisconsin. I called the Los Angeles County Courthouse and they more or less told me to forget it or I should try calling the business owner(which I had already done)
I sure hope you don't charge for this letter, I have most if not all of the receipts except the few that I ordered and never received. So of course I have NO receipt on those.
Please direct me if you can to the right person. They dont want to hear about it. Or do anything about it.
