I received a text message from (909) 973-6491 saying I just won the contest I entered last month, and to go to BestBuyContest.com and claim my $1000.00 gift card by entering code 6207 in the next 24 hrs. In the last month I submitted a job application on Jobs.com and since then have found out that most of the job listings are scams and have been bombarded with "job" emails. Alerts I read also stated to be aware of suspicious texts. I was looking to relocate to the Claremont, CA area, and this text message is from the same area code I was looking at (I live in Northern CA). I wonder if it is somehow related or just a coincidence.
