I was contacted by Harry Ratchford thru match.ccom in Jun e 2012. He stated he was from Sweden but moved to the US 10 years ago Stated thast his parents died in a car crash and his wife cheated on him with his best fried. Stated he was an engineer a d worked mostly out of the country, Stated that he was going to Singapore to build a bridge. Sent me a photo of the contract certificate. As the emails progressed he declased his love for me and he wanted me to look at houses so that we could live the rest of our lives together. He said all the right things but I was a bt skeptical because when things seem to good to be true they usually are. This went on for about 6 weeks. He stated his office caught on fire and he had to pay the government back alot of money. He never asked me for anything atg that time. He sent me a plane reservation that he stated he made as he was coing home to me. The reservaation was in Hsasrry D. Ratchford's name and it had his Mastercard info with the 4 last digits on it. About three days before the job was to be finished he told e that he had to pay for his tools so he could finish the job and come home to me but he had used all his money to pay for the fire. He askedme to help him. I am unemployed and have nothing (thank god). He weanted me to borrow form family and friends and sstated he would pay back double because the job was worth 1.4 million. Explained I could not help and he stated if I loved him I would help him and he was going to kill himself. Than he wangtedme to open an account for him aso gthat one of his business partners could wire oney to him when I asked hi why he could not just oopen the account he said because he was out of hte country and that all his oney was tied up. This went on for awhile I refused to open an accout as I would not give him my personal information. I stopped contact and blocked him from my phone. I than thought maybe I was over reacting and texted him 4 months after he was to come home. He was supposedly still in Singapore and still needed my help. That is when I started asking questions about his address which on match he stated Hanpton Ct but he told me it wass East hampton NY. SO much di dnot register I went on line to see what I could find and to my disbelieve he had done this to quite a few other women withibb the sae time frame. I can;t say I was completely surprised I was more upset at yself for even beleiving anything that he said. I think it was that accent of his. Anyway I would love for someone to catch this guy I a positive that the photos he has shown on facebook and match are not really of him. It is amazing toe how sick some people truly are. As women we need to stick together and stop men like this from doing this to anyone else Thank god I did not lose anything except my pride.
