I was asked to bid on promotional item, after free registration. I was under the impression that this was just to show me how the bidding system worked and was not an actual bid. Then they asked me to send the bid amount, and also ask for a copy of licence ID. While this was going on they withdraw $89.99 from my account as membership fee.
I emailed them to ask for a refund as I had not bid on anything and was told that I had bid and therefore no refund would be given. Two days later they withdrew another $178.98. When I complained they said I had signed up for platinum membership for 3 months and that they were therefore entitled to the whole 3 months membership ($89.99 per month). They also expected me to pay a cancellation fee of $53.
