I was contacted by someone claiming to be Kenneth Webster asking for my lawyers contact information. He claimed that I had defaulted on a payday loan, which I do have such loans, but he could not tell the exact company because they represented over 400 companies. They were issuing a warrant for my arrest unless I paid them 645$ through a MoneyPak pre-paid card within 40 minutes. I admit I was very ignorant and paid the money. I was told that I would get email and phone confirmation within 2 hours. After receiving neither I called the number back. I didn't get anyone but later received a call back from the same guy. He stated that the funds were rejected because I had several delinquent payday loans and that they would be sending me a cashiers check to refund the money. When I pushed for more information he knew my SS# and the city I lived in but would not tell me who I owed the money to and stated that my bank account was going to be frozen within the day, which still has not happened and that was going to be arrested, which still has not happened. The phone numbers this person used were (Personal Info Removed) and also from (Personal Info Removed). I was foolish, please don't let this happen to you. This guy was very difficult to understand which made it harder to get info, not english speaking.
