THEY ALSO TOOK MY DYSON VAC WHICH I LOVED WHICH TOOK $400 OFF AND MY SHAMPOO VAC THAT THEY TOOK OFF MORE MONEY FOR, THE ORIGINAL PRICE THEY STARTED AT WAS $2,200 (MY FRIEND THAT SIGNED ME UP BUT DID NOT BUY ONE WAS OFFERED THE SAME VAC FOR A START PRICE OF $2,000 EVEN, BUT THE GUY SAID THE OTHER SALESMAN MUST HAVE BEEN GIVING THEM A DEAL. THEY NEVER EVEN CLEANED MY FLOOR, JUST MOSTLY TALKED A BUNCH OF B.S. AND SHOWED US ONE SMALL SPOT WHERE THEY DID WHICH BROUGHT OUT DIRT THAT MY DYSON HADN'T, BUT WHICH ALSO COST US $150 IN VET BILLS, I GAVE THEM ONE TO HELP PAY FOR JUST HALF THAT AND THE GUY NEVER EVEN DID THAT, BC IT GAVE MY LABS AN ALLERGIC REACTION AND CAUSED EAR INFECTIONS. ANYWAY, THEY NEVER LEFT ANY WAY TO REACH THEM TO CANCEL THE SALE W/IN THE FIRST 30 DAYS, THEN FINALLY BROUGHT THE SHAMPOOER THEY'D FORGOTTEN A FEW WEEKS LATER AND I DIDN'T WANT IT THEN AND I DON'T WANT IT NOW. THEY COMPLETELY AVOIDED MY CALLS FOR AT LEAST THREE MONTHS AND THEN WHEN I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE IT WAS BC MY FRIEND WHO HAD SIGNED ME UP CALLED SO THEY DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS ME.. SHE HAD IT ON A THREE WAY CALL. THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME BACK ANY MONEY AND HAD ALSO TOLD US THE BAGS WOULD LAST AN AVERAGE OF SIX MONTHS EACH IN A TYPICAL HOUSEHOLD BUT AT LEAST THREE MONTHS IN OUR HOME WITH FOUR ACTIVE CHILDREN AND MANY PETS...YEAH RIGHT. THEY USE A BAG JUST ABOUT EVERY WEEK, WHICH THE FIRST TWO GUYS ORIGINALLY SAID THEY'D GIVE US ENOUGH TO LAST US "TWENTY YEARS" AND THEN DIDN'T EVEN CLEAN LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO OR LIKE I SAID SHAMPOO THE CARPET BC THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT WITH THEM. THEY ALSO NEVER GAVE ME BUT ONE EXTRA BELT AND THE ONE ON IT BROKE RIGHT AWAY BC THEY SELL YOU THE USED ONE (THAT WAY AS THEY TOLD MY HUSBAND YOU KNOW IT WORKS). I PRACTICALLY BEGGED THEM TO TAKE IT BACK AND I REALLY WANTED MY OTHER VAC BACK AT THE LEAST BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHECK THEY SAID THEY GIVE THOSE AWAY TO PEOPLE THAT NEED THEM. I HAVE BEEN VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS FOR MONTHS NOW, IT'S BEEN AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BUT I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. MY COUNSELOR SAID SHE HAS HEARD MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND TOLD ME ABOUT GOING ONLINE TO FILE A COMPLAINT. NOT ONLY DO I WANT MY FULL AMOUNT OF MONEY BACK SINCE IT'S BEEN JUST SITTING HERE UNUSED, ESP SINCE THEY KNOW I DON'T EVEN HAVE A BELT TO RUN IT, BUT I WANTED MY FAVORITE YELLOW DYSON BACK TOO. I NOW HATE CLEANING WITHOUT IT AND ACTUALLY JUST WROTE TO DYSON ASKING IF THERE WAS ANY WAY TO GET THE SAME ONE BC THEY APPARENTLY NO LONGER SELL OR AT LEAST MAKE IT. BUT I LEFT MESSAGE AFTER MESSAGE WITH THE KIRBY SECRETARY FOR "JEFF" AND HE NEVER BOTHERED TO CALL ME BACK AND FINALLY ANOTHER GUY CALLED MONTHS LATER BUT JUST OFFERED TO SEND ME THE BELT REPLACEMENT WHICH I WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN ANYWAY AND I TOLD HIM NO BC I'M NOT GOING TO USE IT. I DID SAY I WAS MAD ENOUGH TO TAKE THE THING OUT IN THE DRIVEWAY AND BEAT IT WITH A SLEGDEHAMMER AND HE WAS LIKE WELL IF THAT;S WHAT YOU WISH YOU ALREADY PAID FOR IT. WE GOT MY PARENTS TO HELP US GET IT BC WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE HEALTHIER FOR OUR KIDS, BUT ONCE IT MADE THE DOGS SICK OF COURSE THAT WASN'T MAKING US FEEL ANY BETTER ABOUT USING IT AROUND THE REST OF THE HOUSE ANYWAY. SORRY ABOUT THE LONG LETTER BUT AS YOU CAN TELL I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS WHOLE SITUATION. AND IF THEY WERE GONNA GIVE MY VAC AWAY WHY DIDN'T THEY LET ME JUST KEEP IT CONSIDERING I WAS VERY AGAINST LETTING IT GO TO BEGIN WITH, BUT MY HUSBAND HAPPENED TO BE HOME AND THEY TALK A GOOD GAME, TOO BAD THEIR MERCHANDISE DOESN'T STAND UP TO WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES. AND AS FOR THE SHAMPOOER, IT SUPPOSEDLY SUCKS ALL THE WATER BACK OUT OF THE FLOOR (MY BUTT IT DOES) AND IT KEPT COMING APART WHILE I WAS USING IT! SO ANNOYED EVEN NOW. PLUS THE ORIGINAL TWO YOUNG GUYS WHO GOT US TO BUY IT ALSO LIED ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE HAIR WOULD NEVER GET WOUND UP AROUND THE BRISTELS AND NEED CUT OFF OR REMOVED LIKE WE'D BEEN DOING WITH OUR OTHER VACUUM. LONG LIST OF LIES, ONE AFTER ANOTHER, AND WE PAID IN FULL BC WE DIDN'T WANT TO PAY AN EXTRA $600 IN INTEREST IN THE END. NOW I WISH I HADN'T DONE THAT EITHER. SO WHAT THE HECK CAN I DO ABOUT THIS, IT'S MAKING ME SICK, I LITERALLY HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS W/O DEALING WITH THIS WHOLE THING. I HAVE LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT BC OF STRESS AND STARTED GOING TO COUNSELING AND THE DR HAD TO PUT ME ON MEDS, I DON'T HAVE ANY APPETITE, ETC. AND I HAVE A DIRTY FLOOR...THE ONLY THING WE ARE USING IS A CHEAP VAC SOMEONE LEFT AT OUR DUMP WE BROUGHT HOME. CAN YOU HELP US WITH THIS OR KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO? I SURE HOPE SO!

  • actually the total damage was $2,200 because they took my $400 dyson and deducted that price from their original quote and they also took my shampooer and took off the $100 i'd paid for that and then another $300 off for my mom's old vac bc they asked if we had anymore, and just got an email back from the kirby distributor today saying that they have federal laws or some sh*t that says i have to comply with the terms of the agreement...and that i did not bother to tell them i didn't want the stupid thing within three days, but the fact is they never left me with any kind of contact information. so how was i suppose to call them or write to them. this lady has me so frustrated now i won't be able to sleep...her name is Paula Jackson. i practically begged her to help me before i knew you guys were going to try to get me out of this mess. guess that was another mistake!

  • i find ir difficult to believe your contention that you never wanted it in first place. you admitted it worked better than the Dyson and you gave thhem three vacums yyou now claim you loved in order to the Kirby. if you never wanted it you wouldnt have done that or signed a contract. its obvious you decided you didnt want it later probably when payments being requesred. Im assuming your stress is contrived because you tthink it will give more weight to your complaint. if this situation really has caused stress rhen i hope your meds are for schizophenia. your stress might disappear if you went out to volunteer to help people who have really been harmed in serious and liife altering ways. in other words pay your bills and quit rambling on about because youre wasting your time and everyone elses as well. Seriously. though dont forget to take your meds
