Someone calling himself Joel James said he was going on a business trip to Egypt to buy "beads." I met him originally on eHarmony. Here is the opening email that he sent me...

How are you doing and thanks for the interest. I'm new to this online dating and want the best out of it. I am 31 years old ,single and never been married.I was born and live here in Fort Wayne, IN. Hey,it's always nice receiving a letter from you always. I am willing to build an empire of love,care and understanding with that special woman .I am also ready to build a long term friendship that will in time turn into a marriage and family in future,And I hope to make it come true soon.I am tired of single life and doing everything lonely! I have only been in one deep relationship in the past and the relationship ended because my partner disrespect,play games and did not always listen to me . I have not been sexually active now for a long period of time !!!!. I live my life through the word of God and through my life experience. My believe is my heart and soul, and the passion that is in it is very special, so I made the decision that I would not be sexually active for the sake of just wanting sex, or to have sex for someone else own self gratification. About my family its a long story to tell and touching that make me share tears whenever i remembered the past.I will keep this short, Mom is from Australia while Dad is from American.I am the one and only child of my parent, I have a small family because i don't know much about my Mom family in the Australia and also my dad family,because they rarely travel to see there relatives.My dad was a painter and fell down from big towel while he was working on a tower building this happened about 3 years ago,and since then have been helpful to my mom.She has not been feeling good after the death of my dad due to the strong feelings they had for each other ,but i later lost my mom too about One year and 4 months ,she died of cancer .Since then, i started to live my life by myself and not depending on my family because we are not that close, i rarely see them and they are not ready to be of help in any way but i am glad i am whom i am today.So you could see that this world is full of pain and happiness is like stolen moment from the stream of sadness.I learn this business of local art and beads selling from my Mom, tough she never travel over sea for business.Am new to this business and have been doing it all alone for some period of time now .It all about trading from one place to another.oh i almost forget to inform you that i will be leaving on a business trip tonight to the Middle East ( Egypt) to get some latest beads and art work ,this is my first time of going on a business trip out of the united state and i will be back in a week time.As soon as am back,I am willing to get a store where i can sell my art works and employ some workers who can manage the business together with me when am back. I hope we can still keep in touch before my arrival back to the state and have a good conversation as well..Take good care of yourself and let see where this will lead us to as soon as i get back .

You will see that on 2011-11-25 almost the exact same message was used from a Reyan George [email protected]

To make a long story short "he" started telling me about how he was having money troubles and how he was doing business with someone while in Egypt and that person took all of his money and then the hotel took his passport, so he couldn't come home. He ended up asking me for $700. After all of the inconsistencies, in the emails, and the fact that when chatting on Yahoo instant messenger I could tell by his language pattern that he wasn't an american, I started questioning. My friend found the website that I mentioned earlier that proved he was a fraud. I never ended up sending him any money. Don't make that mistake.
