Dear Sir
For the past 32 years I am Cruising on all Cruise lines and recommend to my Friends to join me.
As a platinum member of your cruise organization I have enjoyed many occasions with my many friends on your ships. Typically we travel together as a group and normally take up three to fourteen cabins.
Since your smoking policy is getting more restrictive I researched it prior to my cruise on _ALLURE OF THE SEAS sailed on 9-30-201 –Room 12310- Folio # 65673335. What I read in your material was that the smoking of cigars is permitted in some areas as well as cabin balconies. I have always cruised taking a Balcony because of this Policy. This resulted in my making a choice to stay in a balcony cabin, once more ,rather than an inside cabin.
Unfortunately this appears to be a fraud perpetrated by the marketing division of RCL. While I was on my balcony enjoying one of my cigars on Day 2,a member of your crew demanded that I had to extinguish my cigar immediately and could no longer smoke on my balcony, this effectively ended my vacation on this Cruise.
As a result having a balcony had no value to me and an inside cabin would have been just as good.
At this time I request the difference in cost of the balcony cabin verses the inside cabin we would have stayed in. This is in excess of $3000. {cabins-12310-12312-12296.}
I also request that from now on you make your policies that limit behavior consistently clear in all of your publications.
Sincerely
John Schoenebeck platinum
P.S. See attached sign’s on your Balcony doors which states – Do not throw Cigarettes or Cigars overboard.
So how can I throw a Cigar which I’am not allowed to smoke, OVERBOARD ???
