On 19th April 2012, I paid £500 in full via bank transfer to Prestige Car Club as instructed by [Irrelevant Information Removed] for the hire of a white Audi Q7 S Line on 29th September 2012. This was meant to be the wedding car for my fiancées elder sister’s wedding.
From day 1 I had to chase [Irrelevant Information Removed] for information, a receipt for my payment namely but initially I didn’t think anything of it at that moment in time.
All was well I thought until about 1 week before I was scheduled to collect the car. No contact was made by [Irrelevant Information Removed] since sending me a receipt for my payment.
On Monday 24th September 2012, I rang [Irrelevant Information Removed] with regards to my car hire and asked whether I needed to provide any documentation or additional information as well as requesting the address where I would be collecting the car from.
[Irrelevant Information Removed] requested that I sent him copies of my driver’s license and passport which I did immediately and he promised to send me the collection address that day.
A day went past (it’s now Wednesday 26th September 2012) and [Irrelevant Information Removed] had not notified me of the collection address nor did he confirm that my documents were received. I started to get anxious as any normal individual would and called [Irrelevant Information Removed] again who only then confirmed that my documents were received and all was in order. He also promised AGAIN that the collection details would be sent.
Guess what, NO DETAILS received up to Thursday 27th September 2012!! I drop [Irrelevant Information Removed] an email again to obtain the collection details to no avail.
I call again on Friday 28th September 2012 and he promises to send the collection details straight away and makes excuses about being really busy….. This was at 3PM.
At 3.30PM still nothing so I looked online to see if there were any reviews from individuals on Prestige Car Club and low and behold, I came across Scambook! I then called [Irrelevant Information Removed] to chase the collection details again and more excuses from [Irrelevant Information Removed] being busy and he said that once he has stopped driving, all details would be sent. He didn’t say this earlier!
I then told him that I had read some negative reviews online and wanted to check that the car is actually available. [Irrelevant Information Removed] immediately became defensive and started shouting “Do you know how long I have been in this business?! I have been doing this for years so keep your opinions to yourself! Your car is cancelled, send me your details and I will refund you on Monday!”
[Irrelevant Information Removed] then hung up. I sent my bank details to him via text message and email straight away. Over the weekend, [Irrelevant Information Removed] replied to my email stating that all refunds are processed on Fridays and that’s when my refund will be processed. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until Friday 5th October 2012 for my money.
Guess what, NO MONEY had cleared my account when [Irrelevant Information Removed] had said it would. No surprise there!
I emailed [Irrelevant Information Removed] and he said that he was not in London and would check first thing on Monday morning (08/10/12).
Monday 8th October 2012 comes and still no word from [Irrelevant Information Removed] so I call the following day. [Irrelevant Information Removed] then said that he would check and call me back. No call and no word yet to this day.
DO NOT DEAL WITH [Irrelevant Information Removed]!! COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE AND CON ARTIST!!

  • I rang [Irrelevant Information Removed] again yesterday (12.10.2012) and he has seen these posts. He has threatened to leak my personal details on the internet and says he will not transfer the £500 that he owes me until these comments have been taken down!

First of all, he had not even processed the refund to me as promised even though he said that he had! Secondly, [Irrelevant Information Removed] and his company OBVIOUSLY do not know about the Data Protection Act!

This is a MASSIVE WARNING you all to NOT use Prestige Car Club or any affiliated companies associated with [Irrelevant Information Removed]!!

You WILL be disappointed and RIPPED OFF!!!
