I signed my child up through mystarkid.com in order to provide my child with oppurtunities such as modeling/ acting The site requires an est. $20.00 in order to download a picture of you child along with the option to purchase 2 "free" gifts for the price of shipping and handling with comes to an est. $20.00. After having invested an est. $40.00 into this site, I found that there is no customer service phone number, there internet domain was purchased through "godaddy.com" for a small price and that they have attempted to withdraw more than was authorized out of others accounts. When I contacted the supposed location listed in their terms and conditions located in New York as their principal place of business, I spoke with an attorney in that same building that referred me to a "company" named Family First Media, inc. that was once in the same building but had since moved approx 1 yr ago. There is no other addresses listed, nor have they updated there site to the actual place of business. When I contacted the phone number listed (888)909-5664, it was automated and referred me back to the website to contact customer support through emails that they never respond to. I clicked on the "delete my account" link and was again referred to the "contact support" where I had to send a message in order to have my account deleted. As I stated earlier, they do not respond to these emails. I have since contacted my bank, had my debit card number changed and am awaiting actions to be taken from the claims department. It is very imporatant to report this type of fraud due to the fact that our children are being exploited along with the abuse of our personal information. Please contact your better business bureau and the attorney generals office if you and your child have experienced the same.
