I was just called by a man, James Joseph customer ID# 20598J, stating I have been given a government grant for the amount of $8,000.00 if I pay a small, 1x fee of $3.87. I had asked for some information on their company so I could research them before I just give my personal account# over the phone. He continued to try to console me and help me understand that he will only charge me the $3.87 1x otherwise he could loose his job. He said that once I gave him the card# he would give me my online account info to log in and receive my grant. I told him I still need the information on their company to do some research before I just give him my account# over the phone. He gave me the address P.O Box 333, Pleasant Grove, Utah and gave me a call back # 415-639-6269. I began research by looking up the web address they gave me usfinancialresources.com and saw that was a web address to apply for grants so I googled the name US Financial Resources and found this website. I started reading all the mishaps from everyone else and had my husband call the number back to see if it would be disconnected like others had experienced. Someone with a thick middle eastern accent did answer and asked for my husband's name because he said he was looking for free money. They began to ask if this is a # that had been called by one of their representatives, he said yes and we looked into your company can you tell me why we're finding a lot of complaints against you? the person asked him to hold and my husband hung up... I'm pretty sure it's a fraud so I am thankful I didn't give any info... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BE TOO WILLING TO GIVE PERSONAL ACCOUNT INFO OVER THE PHONE BEFORE LOOKING INTO THE RESOURCE!!!! I am so grateful my dad was so big on telling me to be careful and always look into a company before giving the account info no matter what excuse they give you. If they are a legitimate company they will understand your concerns... well this man seemed to be very understanding of my concern and allowed for me to even hang up to look into them and yet I still found out they are frauds! However, I still have my account information to myself safe and sound and they are out the 3.87!
