SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I paid them over $50, thinking they would help me. Rental Protection Agency is a RIPOFF. They are not an official organization and landlords are not scared of them at all. My complaint was not resolved, cause landlord rejected all mail from them. No one takes them seriously. when you are chatting with their representative - she makes grammatical errors and doesn't sound professional at all. All they do for your money is just type a request to landlord to solve the problem and give them a due date. If landlord doesn't respond - they send another letter and give a new due date. And it goes on and on and nothing happens. Then they will just offer you to close the case and have them leave a negative public record for the landlord online (which they don't give after all)... Don't even hope that RPA will help you!
