I received a call from a gentleman...an I use that term loosely....offering me a government grant for which I could use for anything I like.
However, he must know people are on to him because he told me I could use any type of gift card I wish...seriously?????? He also said (with his strong Middle-Eastern accent) the fee was $3.87 and I would receive a username and password to collect my money. I asked him question after question to see if he changed his answers....He tried to assure me that this was not a scam....I told him I am not comfortable giving him information over the phone, and asked him to send me the information to the address listed on the application I filled out....well, needless to say he told me he cannot and said he needed to help people that really want the money.....End of call!!!!!
I feel that it is sad that there are people out there that dont know what a scammer is and are willing to give personal information over the phone....word of advice.....DO NOT EVER GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE, ANYTIME!!!!!
