I was first contacted by Peter saying he wanted to invite me to apply for a position with the UK's Bibby Offshore Ltd and had attached the application on 20 September 2012. He said he found my resume on ITE Employment Center and that I should send my CV/Resume and the completed application. His signature included his name, said that he was the HR Manager, and his phone number was the +44 one provided above. However, when he called, the phone number was a Nigerian one: (Personal Info Removed) After I had submitted the documents (I'd forgotten to send the resume so he contacted me a day after I turned in the application to request the resume), I was offered a position as a research assistant on 27 September 2012. He also called me on the 27th, we only spoke for a few moments and it was to tell me that the offer had come through my email, and I had to sign the contract. The offer was as a Research Assistant at their Houston, TX facility, dealing with projects involving questionnaires (I just got a master's of research, so it made sense), but only after six months training in Aberdeen, where their main office is. Then he answered a lot of questions I had over email and once I'd signed the contract and send it to him, he put me in contact with an immigration lawyer. The immigration lawyer's name was Gerard Butler with the email address [email protected]. The website goes to a 403 Forbidden page. He asked for standard documents including the work permit application, signed employment contract, and proof of traveler's insurance. He went on to say that the accredited insurance company is Cambridge Assurance, the company I believe is the actual fraudulent one. Their insurance quote was about $1536 US. I don't have the money for that, and I found it highly suspicious that they listed only one company, which is when I started digging in earnest. After a lot of emails and searching the internet to prove the existence of these companies I determined Bibby Offshore Ltd was a legitimate company, but Cambridge Assurance was not. Whenever I tried to email the company's listed email address ([email protected]) I inevitably got a reply from Peter from the address [email protected]. 02 October 2012 I was finally able to get a hold of someone from the company other than Peter Drury, and they had no idea what I was talking about, and suggested that I ignore the job offer as it wasn't genuine. In response, I'm reporting everything to you. I have all of the emails and will endeavor to download and save them. I feel like this was so incredibly elaborate it must be a really big operation.

  • I think he should be arrested along with anyone else involved. The company should refund anyone duped by this scheme and be dissolved.
