In 9/2011 Jake Smallen, Senior Underwriter for Consumer Assistance Center contacted me about refinancing my home for $500.00. I paid him $100.00.In December 2011 he said to pay him $400.00 more. I told him money was so tight I couldn't afford to pay him more. He said I could pay him the $400.00 and not pay my mortgage that month. That would qualify me to sign up for modification. I paid him and he did nothing for me. I was then in default. He will not answer phone or email. I need that money. I was too trusting.
