I purchased several rings from 3 eBay Internet sellers. 2 sellers from China and 1 from the USA. One Chineese seller did not give me any item shipping information. When an envelope arrived at my home, unidentified, I sent it back. I followed Homeland Security advise regarding unidentified mail. Rings from the other 2 sellers where not as described. The rings from the second Chinese seller were fake and from the USA seller, the ring was too small. I returned the rings to both sellers. I asked the eBay resolution center for help getting my refunds from all 3 eBay sellers. eBay denied me all 3 refunds. eBay reps said my local USPS used the word 'refused' instead of 'returned' on 2 of the return shipping labels found on the USPS Internet tracking site. The eBay reps also said I should have opened the unidentified envelope to see what the inside contents were. I was told the unidentified envelope contained 4 rings from China. How was I to know that at the time it arrived at my house?
The eBay Chineese seller had refused my requests for shipment information. I was shocked! I have purchased several items from various internet sales sites. I have never had such trouble when sending items back for a refund. In my case, all 3 sellers get their rings back and get to keep my money. eBay reps tell me that their return policies change frequently. What? Why? Where? When? I
am never informed by eBay when return or other policies change. This is outrageous! How can one word 'refused' used by my local USPS for return shipments, and how can not risking my security in opening a unidentified envelope, negate my refunds and cause me to loose $389.93? My refunds were held hostage! This is not a fair or honorable business practice by eBay. I gave eBay reps the USPS return shipment tracking numbers for all 3 eBay sellers. It didn't matter. I am an honest individual. eBay needs to comply with merchandise return policies used by other USA internet companies. eBay should
not go against Homeland Security recommendations regarding unidentified mail. eBay needs to stop trying to scam the public and make it impossible for buyers to get their money back once purchased merchandise has been sent back to the seller.
Appreciate any help you can give. Thanks
