My wife and I received a phone call back in July from Firstrate loan company. They were inquiring about our vacation property that is listed for sale in myrtle beach. They told me they had a potential buyer if the property was still available. Chase wright was the person calling at that point and doing the negotiating between me and the buyer. My property is listed for 15,000. He asked me if the price was negotiable and I told him yes. He called Back and told me the buyers were offering 14,800 and I agreed. He emailed me a contract and said there would be $2245 closing cost to be paid by us upfront before the process could be started. After doing some research I found nothing bad about this company. I couldn't find any scams and no bad reports through the BBB of Chicago. I even called the LaSalle building where they are located in Chicago and the front desk lady knew of the people I was working with. Even named off the chief financial officer that signed the contract that was emailed to me, Miguel A Jimenez. She told me they do business in an office in the building so at that point I had a little faith that it wasn't a scam. We next day aired the contract back to them as asked along with the check for $2245. We were told they would stay in contact with us through out the process. They kept their word at first and emailed us every week or two with an update. Samantha Ferguson was the one emailing regularly. Now, since August 15th I've received no emails or any form of contact. In the last 2 weeks I have tried calling every extension that I had from the beginning of the process which includes about 5 numbers. The only number that goes through is chase wright and he never answers. I have left messages and he never calls back. The rest of the numbers either won't go through or no one answers. I have emailed Samantha ferguson multiple times and she neither will respond. We had faith that this was real and not a scam. The money we sent them was our saving not just extra money we had laying around. We are in a time of need due to major home repairs that need done in our home. Selling our vacation property was our only option for doing the work that needs done. Now we are sunk due to the people at Firstrate loan company in Chicago IL. We are not sure where to go with this or how to fight back but just to anymore out there that reads this know our experience and don't deal with this company!
