i purchased an EU2000i from an authorized Honda dealer in southern California in August, 2010. In July 2011, the unit froze up and wouldn't start. i took it to an authorized dealer for warranty repair. that dealer said Honda refused to cover the repair under warranty. I took it to another authorized dealer and they told me that Honda refused to honor the warranty. I'm going to small claims court in approximately 40 minutes from the time of this writing (12:50pm, Redding, California, Sanders vs. American Honda Motor Corporation). It should be noted that this is the SECOND such generator that failed in exactly the same manner as my first....the first one was repaired under warranty without any question, albeit it took 5 weeks for Honda to get the part to the dealer!)
