robert ashcraft sold one horse to me. without the true detells. We wired the money first only way he does it . then he would bring the horse to us plus gas for him. never recieved Horse didnot refund money because he had to feed the horses and fix his truck and when he feels like it which will be never because the BBB said he is not a Rescue ranch...Hermando countycode enforcement is aware of this fraud and others

This is the ladies husband that adopted the horse, that wrote this comment. HE IS A LIAR AND A COWARD. I am openly man enough to sign my name to ANYTHING that I post. I was Half way from north Weeki Wachee FL. to Punta Gorda Fl. when she called me refusing to take a horse due to too many (proud cut geldings being at the stable she was boarding at). I continued on my trip and dropped off the other gelding and picked up a horse to return with. My friend Beth loaned her truck to me to deliver him and that truck lost it's fuel pump at 75 @ hwy54. AAA picked that truck up and Beth picked up the trailer and I and returned us to my truck. I immediately left out with a squealing brake and continued my journey to Punta Gorda. At close to midnght I arrived at the stable and made the exchange. Before I returned home this man was sending my wife nasty messages demanding his adoption fee back. After transporting a horse and having him trailer-ed for almost 24 hours to be refused I instructed my wife to tell them that we would return the fee in 2 increments of $250.00. 1 would be sent when the horse they refused was adopted out. The other would be sent when the horse I brought back was adopted out. This past weekend I adopted out the one they refused and Monday morning sent them a CERTIFIED PAYMENT of $250.00. That night my wife showed me this scambook post and I called the lady who adopted the horses. Her husband answered and I asked him why he posted something that was riddled with lies. He stated that he posted it before he got the money. I told him that I didn't care, It is a compilation of lies and I would not send him the remaining $250.00 till his lies were removed. He then asked,"Arte you threatening me?" i told him no. I am promising you!!! and Hung Up! .... 1 minute later his wife called me saying she was asleep and heard him yelling. She asked him what was wrong, and he told her that she needed to call me.

When the phone rang right back I answered and explained the whole scenario to her of her husbands bully messages to my wife and his threats. I also informed her of the above false report that he wrote against me and that rather than drive to Punta Gorda ans have Coffee with her coward husband. I would not return the balance of the adoption money in the amount of $250.00 until this compilation of lies was removed. She assured me that she would do everything she could to get it removed and profusely apologized for her anal husband meddling in her affairs, as it was NONE OF HIS BUSINESS!!!....( It has been 2 days since I talked to them and no progress has been shown so I felt it important to let the public know the truth against these lies and the fact that I have documentation to support every word of my rebuttal! His threats don't effect me because I stand on the truth as a man. Not a COWARD that hides behind an Anonymous posting. sincerely, Robert Ashcraft

My husband, Robert Ashcraft, did exactly as stated above. I witnessed each and every phone call until he left that day to deliver Spirit and Wild Child, as he had them on speakerphone. Steve Puleo sent me many of e-mails within just a few days after Bob delivered Spirit and arrived back home with Wild Child after they refused to adopt him, due to issues they had with other horses at the barn. Steve Puleo sent me letters demanding his money back NOW and threatening me if I did not. I sent him an e-mail explaining that he would indeed receive his money certified mail and the conditions that would take place before his wife received the money. This man, not only attacked me through e-mail, but also sent a message directed to the public on my FB page. It was not until later after we had sent him the first payment of $250 that I stumbled across this Scambook Report that he posted against the DERR. We have been honest with this couple from the start. They wired us money for 2 horses that they had only seen pictures of and did not come out personally to meet. Bob delivered both horses from Weeki Wachee to Punta Gorda just as he said he would do. They refused one of the horses as Bob was in route. Bob explained to them and I also did, that the adoption fee had already been utilized and we, therefore, would have to make an arrangement to get their money back to them. I sent them the specifics on exactly how we would send them the money and we sent out the first payment accordingly as planned. After seeing the lies posted here on Scambook by Steve Puleo, we have decided that if this couple would like us to comply with the other $250 that we owe, they need to remove these lies off Scambook. We did exactly what we said we would do and will contnue to do so, but will not pay someone to trash our name.
