I first made my acquaintance with this company on Sept 5th, 2012. They started with their spiel about how I had won a $500 gift card and that the only thing I needed to do to get it was to commit to a 60 month subscription for 6 magazines with a monthly payment for $24.99 for 24 months and the remaining 36 months would be free. I thought I was getting a great deal so I agreed. However, at no time during our phone conversation did they advise me I had only three business days to cancel the order without penalty. I received their validation letter on Sept 11th, 2012, which of course past their 3 day to cancel window. When I saw the selections they had I realized I don't read them so I thought to rectify this by calling them to cancel the order on Sept 12th, 2012. They pretty much told me the order was already processed and like it or not I was committed to making 23 months of payment for the $24.99. I told them I did not read any of the selections they have available and I will not be making payments for magazines I am not interested in reading. They told me if i did not pay, I will be responsible for any late payments and my name will be forwarded to a collections agency. I have not even received a single magazine, I don't see why they're being so unfair and unreasonable in cancelling my order. They made threats to bill me and send me to collections if I didn't pay, even after I specifically told them I don't want their product and if they send it to me, I will be sending it right back to them. I want the $24.99 they withdrew from my credit card and I want them to cancel the remaining 23 months of payment they say I owe. They are scam artists and after my experience with them today I realized I am not their only victim. I have contacted the BBB,FTC and GA Governor's Office of Consumer Protection, and now you, about this. I am very upset about their attitude and their unwillingness to do the right thing. I will not allow them to ruin my credit or ruin me financially and I swear to God I will do everything in my power legally to make sure I get my money back and have them cancel the order. This company has a knack for doing this to unsuspecting consumers and I blame myself for not checking them out before I made a commitment.
