I am a landlord who is frustrated about the common pratices of direct tv. First of all they are very insensitive to home owners. My renter had asked me if she could get direct TV. Of course I said "yes" but I never gave anyone permission to mount anything into MY rooftop. When I called Direct TV (3 times) I got 2 different answers concerning their policy about rental homes. They should get permission directly from the landlord/owner if they plan to drill permanent holes into his/her roof! Nobody seems to know the corporate office phone number and one person referred me to go on line to find how to make a complaint. It would be very easy to remedy this problem if they cared but from what I understand the landlord is out of the loop and they take the WORD of the tenant as to what the landlord said. RIDICULOUS! What if somebody loaned their car to a friend and they brought it back with a huge antenna sticking out of the roof of their car, how would they feel!
