We received a letter from Ameriprice Direct Lottery Sweepstakes, dated August 22nd, indicating that we had won US$250,000 in a lottery sponsored by Global Sweepstakes of Nevada. We were requested to send $3,900 to cover, "...mandated Federal and State regulations on Sweepstake Winnings, and then incurred an additional expense of $80.82 for shipping expenses as well as a charge of $12 for a returned check when the covering check was finally received and then rejected by the payee bank. So the total costs incurred so far, apart from the long distance telephone charges of $20, would be $3,992.82
