Two debt collectors turned up unannounced at my door 3 weeks ago saying I hadnt paid anything towards a Debenhams card since September '11 , I said this was wrong and I had never missed a payment, since then I had a phonecall on my mobile most evenings from the collector Martin Taylor, demanding asking for proof, yet not giving me any details and in fact he was unsure and kept changing the account no. I went into my bank several times to get them to check back for years to see if any mistake had occured but they could not find any missed payments, or in fact any old account for C L finance (which is the company he said I hadnt paid) I even ended up with a £70 parking ticket as I was in the bank for so long< I even asked to guy to call round and check my accounts! Then when I complained to the company I received anther letter about a different account saying I hadnt paid that! which I had and I took a phot of the account details to mail to them. I noe realise that this is a con to get me to close the accounts, but has caused me great distress and time wasted
