The above amount has been charged to my TMobile account and is for competition questions which have been sent to my WiFi Internet Pointer device - this has a SIM and a mobile number - In order to enter to win an Ipad etc, this number would need to have been registered on the competition website and log in details are required. The website is called myquiztowin.co.uk and is one of many offering prizes and is being run by Ordanduu which is based in Germany. I was sent SMS messages from 24/07/12 at 23:30
13/08/12 at 08:50 and again at 14:37.27 and yet again at 14:37.49
20/08/12 at 14:53
27/08/12 at 14:59.07 and again at 14:59.18
All these were received (although not opened) prior to my phone call to the company on the 30/08/12 at 11:26 to inquire how they had my details and to 'UN-SUBSCRIBE'
They then sent another text at 11:30 confirming that I had called to 'UNSUBSCRIBE' from something I did not subscribe to in the first place!!!!
the website states 'This is a subscription service; you will be billed 4 times per week costing £2 per billing (£8 total per week) until you send STOP to 64546
I have received 8 messages in total so how have they come up with the total charge?
I now also have charges on my TMobile account which I will incur next month, and on speaking to TMobile, there is nothing they can do it is up to me to speak to the company and try to get my money back. I did this and was told they would take me off the subcription list, they then hung up on me without explaining how they had my details! I am awaiting a reply via email as to the exact registration details which I am supposed to have entered initially.
