I was on the dating site Zoosk and Jason contacted me and we started chatting on Yahoo Messenger on 8/24. He told me what he was looking for in a woman and wanted to treat her like a Queen and lots of sweet talk. Knowing that I am a Christian, said he went to church and prayed for our relationship and the pastor said go Mr. Jason, God will be with you and your new woman you just met! He sounded so truthful and sincere! Said he would never hurt or take advantage of me and he loved me so much! Being a widow for 14 months, that sounded good to me. Then the next day or two he told me I was the one for him that he loved me and wanted to be with me when he came back to the states. I found out he didn't live in Newport, NC, like he told me! He said he was in West Africa working for a private company fixing caterpillar parts. He would chat with me and say all those words a lovely woman wants to hear! Then he asked me for a favor. He needed some help to keep his internet service on, or his service would be cut off and he didn't want to lose contact with me! He would pay me back when he back here! So being gullible,and not wanting to lose him, I sent him $550 + 30 to transfer it via Western Union. I have notified the local police and they came and spoke with me. He told me not to have anymore contact with him. So I have deleted him from my cell phone and Yahoo Messenger. What else can I do at this point? Do I need to install a security system? The officer said that wasn't necessary as he wouldn't bother me - just move on to his next victim!
