Bought a trike scooter called compellar. It was delivered on April 25,2012. I went to the registry to have it registered and also insured by my insurance company. I paid extra for it to come fully assembled. I was not told about the fluids or anything. My husband took it out for a ride and he came back with it to tell me that it kept popping out of forward gear. He took it to IMS in Rockland, Ma on April 27,2012 for $58.90. They fixed it. Two people are suppose to be able to sit on it and ride it. That didn't work. Called Safer up to see if we could get some information. They said the height on the seat needed adjustments. Plus it overheated on me. They told me that a licened mechanic had to work on it. It went to IMS to have the fluids changed and they figured out how to fix it so two people could ride on it. May 12-May 26, 2012, the shifter rod was bent could have been damaged during shipping. Made many calls to Safer, was hung up several times. Cost to fix it $280.00 on a new trike. June 12, 2012 I took it to work came out to a pool of oil under it. I called my husband and he came down with the car and trailer. Delivered it to IMS. Took Safer Wholesale two weeks before they delivered the gasket kit to IMS. Josh the parts manager of Safer kept hanging up when I called to find out when IMS would get the parts. After IMS fixed the gaskets the timing chain area was leaking. I picked it up on July 6, 2012 for $672.45 It has 342 miles on it. All this money spent on something brand new is stupid. According to Safer's policy only parts are covered. No refunds. It had 10 miles on it when it was delivered. I contacted the attorney general's office from Ma and Il. Ma. office spoke to Brooklyn from Safer on June 28, 2012. She told Cheryl, attorney general's office Ma. that I would get reimburseed for the money I spent on repairs. Never got anything back from Safer. I sent Safer all the copies of my receits by certified mail. I got a letter in return from Safer saying that I was suppose to send them an estimate for approval even though there policy says to have a licensed mechanic work on it. Labor is not covered under their policy. To me, this trike should have been A one condition as it was purchased brand new. I am frustrated with this whole issue and the rudeness of there customer service and everyone else there that my husband and I dealt with and the mechanic from IMS was insane. Very unprofessional. I don't know who else I can contact to help me get my money back. I will keep researching the network. Something has to been to this company. Whatever help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
