Deposit paid on 9th January in Bali and further payments made to the approx value of $13,000 so far. This was for a membership to RCI who are affiliated with IRC.IRC being the company who ripped us off. Complicated [ yes]
We were promised that this company would pay for 1 x fare on a 241 cruise booked through RCI if we signed up for a $22,000 holiday programme. We were given a 241 cruise certificate and told not to register untill we were ready to book.We only recently realised we had been conned when we did register and tried to book a cruise, when were told we had to pay the full ammount. We then realised we had been conned into signing a $22,000 deal by a slick salesman.
We were actully picked up on a Bali street and whisked to some sort of office under the pretext we had actually won something. I know how niave can you be. There has been a number of emails back and forward to back this claim up. ANZ bank have been notified of payments made on the Visa card and are now looking into the matter.
