My request for refund, as requested in this letter below and a filled out form, was denied. They invented a 14 day window of opportunity to apply, which is rarely taken, since they keep this tidbit hidden.
" Dear/Sir/Madam,
I am requesting a refund on my listing as I have not received revenue as a result that equals or exceeds what I paid, as is understood by our agreement. In fact, I have received no reservations at all. I have received a number of inquiries, but none of them provided phone numbers and none of them followed up on my response, despite me saying I had availability on the dates they were interested in or me requesting that they give me a call. It has been so bad that I have sometimes suspected that they were all bopus inquiries.
I have learned today that my refund request must be postmarked within 14 days of my anniversary date which, surprisingly is the invoice/sales receipt date. I don't understand this as my listing wasn't on the web site until some time later and I didn't get my 'Welcome Aboard' Email until July 18. I would have sent this in prior to today, but my account representative, J___ J___, did not return the phone message that I left on Monday morning (07/30/12) and, after calling every day this week, was not able to talk to her until this afternoon. I spoke to A_____ today and she suggested that I explain these things to you. By the way, sales people should make sure this timing requirement is understood as it is a critical issue in deciding whther to advertise with you, at least it was for me.
I am hoping that, with such poor results from my listings, and my honest effort to request, your company will give evidenceof its integrity and grant this refund. Thank you for the opportunity to advertise with you and I am sorry and disappointed that it did not work out."

  • Was just contacted by United In Uniform (Orlando, FL, tel: 1-888-234-1134) and spoke with LARRY SULLIVAN (Personal Information Removed) who TRIED to get me to sign up for ~$1500 for ten weeks of rentals. Claimed to "deliver 97% successful rentals" of timeshares to "corporate renters for convention market". Total excrement. This sounds EXACTLY like several other scam artists that have tried the same thing before. Scripted or memorized, they each have the verbiage down pat. "You pay upfront and we rent and you get all the reward". That is the description of A FREE LUNCH... and no such thing exists. RUN AWAY if United In Uniform contacts you about renting your timeshares. I do not use VRBO so I suspect that they get all their information right from public records of filings in FL.

In my reply email to them (after I hung up) I sent them the reports that I found on this site about them and said this: "Just the tip of the iceberg about your "24 year old company that started in Europe" as if that in itself proved some sort of legitimacy. I suspect that where there is smoke there is fire and for everyone that actually complains there are 100 people too embarrassed or uninformed about how to complain to ALL the agencies (FL Attorney General, FBI, FTC, SEC, the online scam report websites and even the miserable excuse for a monitoring agency called the Central Florida BBB) and all you do is claim that they "were outside the 14 day window" so "NO REFUND"."
FIGHT BACK WHENEVER AND HOWEVER YOU CAN. COMPLAIN LOUD AND LONG.
