To whom it may concern,
My vehicle was taken by Golden Acceptance Financing Company due to a 29 day deliquent payment on 07/23/2012. I payed all needed charges to retrive my vehicle on 7/30/2012. I was sent a certified letter informing me of the address that my vehicle would be returned to me. I went to said address, which is 1 hour and 5 minutes away from residence,on 08/01/2012 to retrive my vehicle.
When I arrived I was informed that my vehicle was not there. I was told to come back the next business day,08/02/2012, when my vehicle would arrive at said address. I returned on 08/02/2012 as asked. i was given the keys to my vehicle and when I tried to turn on my vehicle I was unable to. My battery had died and had to be jumped started. I then realized that one of my back lights had been left on. Someone had left it on when inspecting my car and there is a shoe print on my back seat to prove it.
As soon as my car started I noticed that my engine was making an unfamiliar sound and was also shaking. I drove my car out of the parking lot hoping that it just lacked gasolione. I tried to drive my car about 5 minutes away to the nearest gas station but my car lacked power and shut off as I was trying to enter the 76 Gas Satation. My car had to be pushed out of the street by 2 good samaritan men who saw me in need of assistance.
I was stranded and had to call AAA road side assistance. I was then informed by the driver that my battery was bad but could not have fully been responsible for my vehicle not turning on and that something else had to be wrong. He then told me that there was nothing else he could do to help me.
I then went back to Golden Acceptance Financing Company's office where I had retrived my vehicle and explained the situation. I told them that I had never had any problems with my engine and that I felt that something had happened to my vehicle during the time that it was in their posession. I also informed them that I belived that should be responsible for replacing my battery. They then agreed to have the vehicle towed back to my property where it had been taken from and to further investigate the situatuation but have not yet contacted me.
My vehicle was not returned to me until 08/03/2012 between 12:30am and 1:00am. I have not been able to use my vehicle ever since. I had a mechanic come out today 08/06/2012 and he informed me that the head gaskets were blown to my vehicle. It will take atleast $2000 to repair my vehicle. Is there any way that they can be held responsible?
On another subject I would like to know if it is legal here in California for the financing company to force me to put a GPS tracking system 30 days after vehicle was purchased? Thank You for your time. Hope to hear from you soon.
