On 7-28-12 a man called me in the after noon & said I made 10-12 calls from my ph# (land line) to his son's cell ph#, who is a 12 yr old & was getting threatening calls from me & he was scared & I had better stop it & he was going to call the police & phone company on me, well, I am a widow 67 yrs & live in a senion complex & he would not give me any info for me to try to resolve this problem. So I called the Police Dept & made out an incendent report & I have a report # if you would like to have it. They told me to call Verizon & ask for a copy of the log calls & it should not be a problem because there is no third party involved & it was my account. Well wrong. I started out with customer service & they told me to go to billing & get it, got to billing they told me tech support, did that & they sent me in circles each giving me a different ph# ,cause I was affraid I would get disconneted, so I would ask for the ph# well, 7 different ph# later I finally reached security & he told me the same thing the police did about getting the call log, but also told me it might be tapped, hacked or spoofing & referred me again to Billing. I have all the ph# wrote down & a few names if you need them. Do you think someone out there in Verizon would have the authority to help me find out if someone has tapped,hacked or spoofed my ph#. I'm a senior on a fixed income & can't afford an attorney & if I can help it I don't want to change my Ph# because, of all the doctors, insurance & utitilies etc. The bottom line is someone please tell me where the call came from so I would know if it was randum or someone I know!! My son burgularized my home in 2009 & he is still in prison but I want to make sure it isn't him. I am the only one that has access to my home as I said I live alone since my husband passed. Please help me, it made me sick listing to your phone message while I was waiting for an agent to talk to, when I heard privacy is My right & YOUR DUTY after all I have been through, Please help me get back my PRIVACY!!
