In 2010 I decided to try out college online to complete my nursing degree. I contacted the college Network online and they sent a Rep. to my home. He told my about the College Network and told me that I could sign up for a loan to help pay for it once I was enrolled. I did sign a paper stating that I would except the loan to pay for my courses. I was told I had a week to decline by calling the College Network. The very next wee I called and informed them that I didn't want to attend. I was informed to give it a chance and to go online to get signed in and to get my account set up because they would have to get my college transcripts and see what classes would transfer. I told her that I didn't want to do that. A week later I noticed that $250.00 was taken from my checking account. I instantly called the finance company and informed them that I hadn't enrolled into to the college network and wasn't going to attend so why am I paying back a loan that I didn't use. They inturn said that it didn't matter if I was enrolled I still had to pay back the loan because I signed for it. I asked them where did the money go? They said to the college network. I called the college network and they said they show no proof of me in their system of ever attending. I told them that the loan company paid them but I never even set up an account nor do they have any of my information. They stated they show nothing and couldn't help me. Now I have a $6000.00 debt on my credit and no clue on how to start fighting them to get it off.
